Juan Luis Morera( December 19,1978) and Llandel Veguilla(January 14,1977) more popularly known as Wisin and Yandel are the brightest duo that are making waves in the hottest genre today, Reggaeton. The newest musical genre to came out from the music scene. It infuses Panamanian Reggae with Jamaican dancehall thus creating a new music that sets itself differently with all existing musical genre. Winsin and Yandel music was so distinctively unique that in instance, their music took the world like storm, catching the attention of all races, ages and gender lines. Christened as El Duo de la Historia by their fans, the duo from Puerto Rico is well known for their socially conscious and perceptive lyrics, dynamism and vigor every time they perform. They would always treat every performance as if it was their last. They have also been conferred other names (El Dúo Dinámico, Los Extraterrestres, Los Lideres, W & Y) since they started making music in 1995. Their beats, rhythm and energy was so infectious that have been honored with an award, Disco de Oro in Venezuela a Disco De Oro for the exceptional sale of their album, nominated at BMI Latin Awards for “Writer of the Year”, honored with four awards in The Premios Juventud 2008, won the Latin Rhythm Album of the Year in Billboards Music Awards, recognized and nominated in almost all Latin Awards and winning the “Artist of the Year” and “Video of the Year” in MTV Latinoamerica.
